My heart and thoughts go out to the family of my good friend Richard Glick.  Richard succumbed last week to his terrible struggle with cancer.  I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of one of the legends of the music world. As a close friend Richard was always so warm, caring and compassionate.  He was always someone who I could count on.  When I first came to

Los Angeles and as I slowly learned the art of guitar-making and then later the art of how to sell them, Richard was someone I truly admired as an artist and mentor.  He had such a good ear for instruments.  Always in search of something new and ground-braking, while at the same time he had such a delicate feel for the traditional.  When it came to guitars, Richard truly had a knack for hearing what was special and unique about each instrument.  Richard always used to say that there is no such thing as the perfect guitar.  He said every instruments has it’s own characteristics and qualities that is different for each player.  He was truly the “matchmaker”.  The world will truly be an emptier place without him.  I know I will truly miss my friend and colleague.   Boaz
